Fast Express wash 10/15 minutes

As we have seen in the prevoius video, to make a complete accurate wash, we need many time, the right way and many tools and products.

When we need to clean our bike, but we havent enough time, we can choose the express wash, that need 10/15 minutes. I’ts posible when the bike isn’t too much dirty. Keep in mind that now our goal it’s to properly clean the drivetrain, ready for the trail. We can chose betwenn two options. Water complete but fast wash, drivetrain and frame, with about 15 minutes. Or a faster solution with a spray dry wash with a rug and Resolvrapid, and lube with spray R1 oil. Almost 10 minutes.

Drivetrain washing it’s the same in both options. Just change the frame cleaning and lube.

Drivetrain Washing. You will need Resolvbike, the chain washer, old theet brush and brush.

Water remover and lube oil. Otherwise spray oil lube and Resolvrapid dry wash spray. In both cases, we will need clean towels and microfiber rug.

Give the first fast wash, to remove dust and dirt. First choice, drivetrain and frame. Second faster choice, only the drivetrain.  Spray Resolvbike over drivetrain, and over the frame if you want to wash with water.

Brush rings, derailleur and casette. Clean pulleys with a teeth brush.

Chain Washing

If you have the chain washer fill it with resolvbike. But first ceck that the chain stay as much as possible straight over the ground. I use a buble level to let you understand well the wrong position, and the right one.

If the chain stay steep the poduct will fall away from the chain washer.

Ceck for a gear that keep the chain straight with the ground.

Lock the chain washer, keep it, and roll back pedals.

Wash all the bike, in the first metod, second one just drivetrain. If the chain is still dirty, you can make a second wash, with 50% water/resolvbike , or only water.

Shake the bike, let it bounce in the ground, as seen in the full wash video. Shift an heavy gear and roll backward pedals. The water will drop out the chain and casette.

Spray water remover in bearings and derailleur. To drop away retained water.

Dry the water that drop away.

Pulleys and then the chain. Let the chain roll inside a towel. Keep it inside your hand and roll pedals backward.

Ceck it with your finger. If it’s dry, we can lube.

Lube

If you have more time, put one drop of oil over every chain link, rolling pedals backward. Keep one finger in the derailleur and put the drop over links. With some practice, you can do it very quickly. Roll a while and dry excess of oil.

If you are in hurry, use R1 spray oil. Point in the cassette, spray when rolling pedals backward. Don’t spray over brakes!

If you washed frame with water, dry with microfibert towel, otherwise just water drops that cames from drivetrain.

Fast wash. Take Resolvrapid and spray over a clean towel. It create a soft foam. Cleal all the frame: it will degrease and let it shine, without a wash. You can use it also over other gears like helmer, glasses etc..

Ceck brakes, brake.  The bike is ready.
